Μπορεί να απέχουμε μόλις μία μέρα από τη διεξαγωγή των The Game Awards, ωστόσο αυτό δεν μας απαγορεύει από το να ενδιαφερθούμε για ακόμα μία διοργάνωση gaming βραβείων, πόσο μάλλον για αυτή της Βρετανικής Ακαδημίας.
Τα BAFTA Games Awards 2026 επιστρέφουν ανακοινώνοντας τους πρώτους υποψήφιους ανάμεσα σε 255 παιχνίδια που λήφθηκαν υπόψιν και επιλέγοντας τα nominations πρώτης φάσης σε 17 κατηγορίες.
Τα παραπάνω από 1.700 μέλη των BAFTA συμφώνησαν πως παιχνίδια όπως το Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, το Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, αλλά και τα Dispatch και Ghost of Yōtei ξεχώρισαν μέσα στο 2025, συνθέτοντας μία λίστα γεμάτη παιχνίδια που αξίζουν και με το παραπάνω την αναγνώριση.
Ελλείψεις και “χαμένοι” πάντα θα υπάρχουν, εφόσον δεν βλέπουμε για παράδειγμα τρανταχτά ονόματα να λείπουν από την απόλυτη κατηγορία “Best Game” όπως τα Donkey Kong Bananza και Kingdom Come Deliverance II.
Οι τελικοί υποψήφιοι όπως αυτοί προκύψουν από τη γνώμη της κριτικής επιτροπής θα ανακοινωθούν στις 12 Μαρτίου, ενώ το σόου θα λάβει χώρα στις 17 Απριλίου όταν και θα ανακοινωθούν οι νικητές.
